Our business is based on the installation of electrical components and their connections, but by far the most important connection we make is between people. There are hundreds of talented individuals behind the success of Jamerson & Bauwens, but these are the few you will interact with most when you work with us.

Rick joined his father at Jamerson & Bauwens in 1980, after earning a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Rick began by supervising the purchase and implementation of the company’s first computer system in 1981. He moved up through the ranks in due time, learning everything there is to know about all facets of the business. Rick oversees the company’s financial operations and strategic planning. Today Rick is not only a respected mentor at Jamerson & Bauwens, but also a dynamic leader in the electrical industry and active member of the community.
To name just a few of his contributions to date, Rick:
- Rewrote the Chicago Electrical Code in 2000 with 15 other industry veterans;
- Performs electrical inspections for the Village of Northbrook, IL, as a member of the IAEI;
- Serves on the Executive Committee of the ECAC; and
- Serves on the Board of Directors at the Raven Theatre, a non-profit theatre company based in Chicago.
- Serves on the Board of Directors of the Riverwoods Preservation Council.

Ken came onboard in 1982, also armed with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He started out as an engineer and worked his way up through management. Today he oversees the company’s operations, and strategic planning and works directly with clients on Jamerson & Bauwens’ larger projects. Ken’s dedication to the company and the industry are considerable, but he still finds time to contribute to philanthropy outside the office.
Here's the short list:
- Board of Trustees for EIT, the ECA/IBEW Local 134 Health & Welfare/Joint Pension Trust
- Board of Directors for the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP)
- Resurrection Health Care Resurrection Development Foundation
- Development Council Chair for St. Joseph's Hospital Resurrection Development Council
- Northeast Illinois Council - Boy Scouts Annual Golf Outing Planning Committee

Glenn has been with Jamerson & Bauwens since December of 1982. He came on board as a second year apprentice and rose through the ranks to become a general foreman. By 1998 he was looking for more of a challenge and swiftly migrated into the office and management end of the business. Glenn currently assists in the day-to-day operation as well as managing the projects at Northwestern Memorial and Children’s Memorial Hospitals. He was appointed Vice-President in 2006.
